L.P. Waters houses Greenville ISD’s three- and four-year-old students, serving approximately 400 children each year. Our school provides a nurturing environment where students grow mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically.

We believe parents are a child’s first and most important teachers. Parental involvement is encouraged and welcomed in all aspects of school life. Working together, parents and staff help each child progress and experience success.

Our teachers offer love, understanding, and engaging opportunities that help children build confidence, form friendships, and develop problem-solving skills. Students spend time in stimulating settings where they form good habits and enjoy learning through play and exploration. By the time they leave L.P. Waters, children are well-prepared for kindergarten and ready to succeed.

Health and wellness are also key components of our program. Students receive exams from skilled professionals, including vision and hearing screenings, dental follow-ups, and immunizations.

Each classroom day includes a variety of activities designed to promote creativity and independence. Teachers often begin the day with “circle time,” encouraging children to share and communicate with others. Throughout the day, students plan their own activities — choosing from art, blocks, science, music, books, or pretend play — and can move between centers to explore new challenges.

Every day also includes small-group learning and outdoor play on safe, age-appropriate equipment. At lunchtime, children enjoy nutritious meals and practice healthy habits such as handwashing and toothbrushing.
